The Global Management Challenge received the EOCCS seal from EFMD - The Management Network, as an online management course
EFMD - The Management Development Network, a global organization dedicated to the continuous development of management and which conducts certification programs, recently awarded the Global Management Challenge the EOCCS seal, for online courses. For João Matoso Henriques, CEO of SDG, this is a top certification that guarantees quality for this competition, which is already in its 39th edition.
Headquartered in Brussels, EFMD has more than 900 institutions among its members, including business schools from various universities, public services and companies, spread across 88 countries. Among the services it provides are several certifications, namely the EOCCS (Online Course Certification System) that the competition organized by SDG and Expresso received last month.
“This certification is aimed at online courses at business schools at universities and the competition is considered by this entity as an online platform and as a course”, explains João Matoso Henriques. He adds that EFMD “defends that participants when joining the Global Management Challenge have access to content and a platform that, through a competition model, provides them with content and knowledge that they can then enjoy better or worse, depending on the intensity and quality with do it ”.
Before the EOCCS certification, created in 2016, the Global Management Challenge had already obtained another certification from EFMD that has since ceased to exist. Despite the link that already existed and to obtain the EOCCS, this initiative had to go through a root certification process.
To obtain this quality seal, all the competition's processes were analyzed and were heard by the certifiers from participants to sponsors, as well as customers of this event. Among the panel of independent evaluators who were involved in these procedures, two specialists in simulators were present. “Every three years and in order to remain certified, there is a review of this process”, stresses the CEO of SDG. In his opinion, this seal “gives credibility to the competition. For example, when companies support a team of managers they know that they are getting training for their employees with a quality seal from a credible institution, which gives top certification and where hundreds of universities from different countries are represented ”, finishes João Matoso Henriques.
