Power Grid Business Simulation Games – A Competition of Business Strategy and Management Skills
Power Grid Business Simulation Games will be a Management Development program organized for employees and staff members of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, all across the country. The objective of the program shall be to enhance managerial ability, develop cross-functional understanding and improve business productivity among staff members at Power Grid.
To participate in the challenge, staff members will be invited to form a team of 3 – 4 members and register. In a multi – round competition format, performance of teams will be assessed under complex business scenarios and in a competitive environment. Through the competition, best 8 Teams from the company shall be nominated for participation in GMC India National Finals and finally the winner of National Finals will be nominated for participation in GMC World Finals and represent India.
Why Participate?
It goes beyond traditional programs by providing the participants complete control over a virtual company operating in a competitive environment.
By working in a team drawn from different departments, staff get to better know colleagues in their own company and often forge long lasting friendships.
Global Management Challenge is the world’s largest strategy and management competition – an unique platform to develop your personal Resume. It offer’s each participant “Diploma in Management” on the basis of it’s EFMD – EOCCS recognition.
The layout of the competition provides an excellent opportunity for company to assess your teams’ performance against other teams from your own company and against teams from other companies.
Form a Team of 3-4 members
To take part in the POWERGRID Business Simulation Games – 2024, staff members across all regions in POWERGRID are invited for participation. Each Team must consist of 3-4 members. As rules specified below.
General Rules of Team Registration:
- Each Team must consist of minimum 3 and maximum 4 members. In case of a team of 4 members, minimum 1 participant within the team must be a Female participant.
- Each Team must nominate, 1 member among themselves as Team Captain. By default, the organizers will consider Team Member 1 as Team Captain.
- A particpant can only be associated with 1 Team. Registrations with common participants shall not be accpeted.
- Once the Registration is complete, the members within the team cannot be changed.
Power Grid Business Simulation Games 2024 will consist of 5 Rounds followed by National Finals.
All Registered Teams will compete against each other in a multi-round format, with the best teams progressing to the next rounds

Accordingly, a program with 4 Rounds (1 Round of Quiz + 3 Rounds of Business Simulation) was designed, that saw participation of 81 teams with 324 participants.
