Students from Premier B-Schools are invited to participate in GMC India - Student Championship
Global Management Challenge is the world’s largest strategy and management competition participated by university students and young managers. 30,000 participants from more than 20 countries around the world take part in the competition every year.
It consists of an interactive Business Simulation in which each management team manages a company, just like real life, in a virtual environment with the aim of obtaining the best investment performance for their company in the market in which it operates.
Student Championship is an annual competition promoted by GMC – International Organizing Committee for MBA / PGDM students in India. The competition is powered by GMC’s highly advance Business Simulator with an objective to enhance managerial ability among young managers of the country.
Why Participate?
Participating students in GMC earn a minimum of 2 CV Points to build their resume
Students that qualify at Qualification Round earn 2 CV points i.e. achievement in competition and “Training Certificate” equivalent to diploma in management as GMC is accredited by EFMD with EOCCS certification.

Experience in GMC is rewarding and fulfilling experience for all participants. The winner of India National Finals gets unique opportunity to represent Team India at GMC International Finals (All costs for the trip is paid by the GMC India organizing team).

Global Management Challenge goes beyond traditional training programs and classroom teaching and helps students to enhance their managerial potential.
Global Management Challenge is accredited with EOCCS Certification by European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)
As of 2026, only 138 courses from 32 institutions in 16 countries are accredited with EOCCS Certification by European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The Training Certificate awarded in Global Management Challenge is accordingly equivalent to a “Diploma in Management”.
Form a Team of 4 Members
MBA / PGDM students (both 1st and 2nd Year) from premier Management Institutes of India, are invited for participation in GMC India – Student Championship 2026.
- Each Team must nominate, 1 member among themselves as Team Captain. By default, the organizers will consider Team Member 1 as Team Captain.
- A participant can only be associated with 1 Team. Registrations with common participants shall not be accepted.
- Once the Competition is complete, the members within the team cannot be changed.
- Registration in Global Management Challenge is FREE for all student Teams.
- Registration in Global Management Challenge is FREE for all student Teams. Only the Teams that qualify for Round 1 of competition must pay a basic competition fee of Rs. 4720 /- per Team for issue of Certificates and further participation in the competition..
Note: All Team members in each Team must be from same Institute.

Student Championship consists of 4 Rounds followed by India - National Finals
Students Teams will compete against each other in a multi-round format, with the best teams progressing to the next rounds. The 1st Round of the Competition is called Qualification Round which allows students to get friendly with the platform. Max. 256 Teams from qualification round will be nominated for main competition.
The complete format of the competition will be as follows:
All registered Teams take part in the Qualification Round. Teams are divided in 128 Groups with 8 Teams each. Top 2 Teams / Group (or max. 256 Teams) are nominated for Round 1.
Qualified Teams from last Round will take part in the Round 1.Teams are divided in 32 Groups with 8 Teams each. Top 4 Teams / Group (or max. 128 Teams) are nominated for Round 2.
128 Teams nominated from Round 1 will take part in the Round 2.Teams are divided in 16 Groups with 8 Teams each.Top 2 Teams / Group (or max. 32 Teams) are nominated for Student Finals.
32 Teams nominated from Round 2 will take part in Student Finals.Teams are divided in 4 Groups with 8Teams each.Top 2 Teams / Group (or max. 8 Teams) are nominated for GMC India National Finals.
All registered Teams take part in the Qualification Round. Teams are divided in 128 Groups with 8 Teams each.
Top 2 Teams / Group (max. 256 Teams) are nominated for Round 1.
Qualified Teams from last Round will take part in the Round 1. Teams are divided in 32 Groups with 8 Teams each.
Top 4 Teams / Group (or max. 128 Teams) are nominated for Round 2.

This was the 6th edition of annual GMC – Student Championship in India. Based, on the final results, student teams from IIFT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, JBIMS Mumbai and IIM Kozhikodewere nominated for participation in the GMC India National Finals that took place in Mussoorie (28-30 April, 2025).
