The Competition was conducted between Oct-Dec 2022. The Competition was completely ONLINE and designed in such a manner that the participation in the Competition did not impact the day-to-day commitments of the participants.
Eligibility for Participation:
All full-time NTPC executives up to the level of AGM including ETs could participate in the Competition in a team of four (members). The Team Members had to be situated at the same location itself at the time of Registration for participation in the Competition.
Participation Details:
Round 1 – 200 Teams: The program started with the schedule of Round 1, where all 200 registered teams competed on GMC Business Simulator. Teams were divided in Groups of 5 Teams, and best 4 were promoted for Round 2.
Round 2 – 150 Teams: 150 Teams nominated from Round 1, participated in Round 2. Teams were divided in Groups of 5 Teams, and best 2 were promoted for Semi Finals.
Semi Finals – 60 Teams: 60 Teams nominated from Round 2, participated in Semi – Finals Round. Teams were divided in Groups of 7 – 8 Teams, and best 1 was promoted for Company Finals. The 8 Teams nominated for Company Finals will also go on to represent NTPC in GMC National Finals.
Company Finals – 08 Teams: 08 Teams nominated from Semi Finals, will now compete in Company Finals on 17.01.2023, to be crowned as NTPC Champion.
Awards & Recognitions:
Best Performing Teams in NTPC Global Management Challenge are eligible for following awards:
- Winners and runners up will be awarded a Cash Prize worth Rs. 8000 /- and Rs. 5000 /- per member respectively.
- Nominations to GMC India - National Finals: The best performing Teams from NTPC Global Management Challenge, will be nominated for direct participation in GMC India - National Finals.
- "Diploma in Management" issued by SDG Portugal: GMC is accredited by EFMD with EOCCS Certificate. Accordingly, participants in the competition will be eligible for "Diploma in Management" issued by Simuladores e modelos de Gestao, Portugal.
